OUR CATS

Cats are are an integral part of Casa-Kaan, in fact, most of them were born on the property and were  fed and cared for by the construction crew. 2024 sees the opening of CAFE KAAN, Merida first cat cafe, dedicated to raise funds for cat care, sterilizations, socialization, and adoptions, also to introduce tasty vegetarian food to the neighborhood.

 

There are currently 10 permanent residents, and a few more who stop by for nibbles and water when it's hot out. They have free reign of the grounds but are not allowed in the bedrooms. They are friendly and inquisitive and love companionship,
